The Pirates of Pendants

Discreet, functional toys are always fun, and who doesn’t like Pirates? The thought of Errol Flynn in numerous roles, Charlton Heston as Long John Silver, or Johnny Depp all done up as Captain Jack Sparrow can make me weak in the knees. Even Pirate musicals can set me swooning. And when I play dress-up as a pirate wench, we go all out with costume, bandannas, play sword, and shackles and jewelry. Costume jewelry can be a lot of fun like this, and jewelry that has a hidden function? Count me in! Enter the Pirates Pendant Vibe from Digital Playground, which I received to review from EdenFantasys.
The pendant comes in a clear plastic box through which you can see a stormy sea, and the back has some product information. The box is easy to open. The pendant comes in pink or copper. I got the copper one which is bright and shiny, and it really does look just like costume decorative jewelry.

The Pendant Vibe is about 2 1/2" long and just under 1” in diameter. It somewhat resembles an elongated acorn. While it can be vaginally inserted up to 1 1/2", it’s a lot more fun to use clitorally. It should never be used anally – even though it’s on a chain, if the chain were to snap it would be lost in an instant.
The design covering the bullet is cute. It features reliefs of skulls and crossbones, crossed swords, and other swashbuckling designs. The matching copper chain is composed of small beads and is about 27” long. I found this a good length on me – it allowed the pendant to hang between my breasts. The chain is held together by a simple clasp at the back, and it can be shortened if necessary by cutting off some of the beads for the perfect length. The pendant hangs from the chain and is on a swivel hook so it won’t get tangled and it can also be removed from the chain if you desire. This swivel hook is also the button that controls the pendant’s functions.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this toy had five vibration settings, accessed by pushing down on the swivel hook. The speeds are
- low and steady
- high and steady
- medium pulse pattern
- fast pulse pattern
- two short and 1 long pulse pattern

The vibrations are buzzy and not deep, but more than enough to get me off. They are also fairly quiet – a bit of background noise will provide adequate cover.

The pendant runs on 3 watch batteries, which are included. They come pre-inserted in the bullet, so you’ll want to unscrew the cap and remove the paper piece so the bullet will start up. The batteries have a decent lifespan. To save battery life, you can replace the piece of paper or remove the batteries when you don’t plan to use this.
This toy is made of plastic, so it’s phthalates-free, body safe, latex free and hypoallergenic. It’s also non-porous. It’s easy to clean, simply wipe with a damp soapy cloth and wipe off with water, or you can also use your favorite toy cleaner. If necessary, water-based, silicone, and oil based lubes are safe to use.

This pendant is splash proof but not waterproof, so don’t take it in the tub or it will be joining other fallen waterlogged and dead toys in Davy Jones’ Locker.

So, Does It Work? It does! I love how this vibrator really looks like costume jewelry and can be worn discreetly out and about nestled between my breasts. I also love the coppery color!
Since the button is on the top where it attaches to the chain, there’s no chance of turning it on by mistake unless you press down on the button. And being able to wear this made it convenient and accessible when we were ready to play.

I was pleasantly surprised with the multiple vibration patterns. While I love strong clitoral vibrations, the patterns on this were fun, and even on the patterns the vibrations were strong enough to help me climax.

It would have been great if this were waterproof, as it seems like it would fit in more with the pirates/sea theme, but otherwise, this is a fun one that I think we’ll be using for some time to come.

Frosty Blue Persuasion

I love Tantus toys. Most of the toys I have from them, with a few noticeable exceptions like Hoss, are smooth and thin and typically they don’t vibrate. I’ve been enjoying some textures lately though, and I thought the Rascal O2 from EdenFantasys would be a good choice to try.

The Rascal comes in a simple plastic bag, and right away when I took it out I could tell it was going to be fun. It’s soft and super squishy – the kind of toy you want to squeeze like a stress ball. I love how flexible it is as well. The Rascal has gentle ridges that run from its rounded tip to its base for extra stimulation, and the surface has a matte finish with just a bit of drag. This toy has beautiful coloring, with a white tip that gradually darkens to an icy, frosted blue at the base.
This toy is on the short side – only 5 1/2" long. It’s also 5 1/2” around (1 3/4" diameter), so the Rascal is pleasantly filling without being too large. The base is wide at 3” in diameter and makes the Rascal O-ring compatible as well as safe for anal play.
The base contains a hole for a bullet to turn the Rascal into a vibrating delight. The bullet is silver and small, at 2 1/4" long and just 3/4" wide. It is easy to insert and remove from the Rascal without needing to apply any lubricant. The bullet only has one speed and is turned on and off by a push button on the bottom. It takes 3 watch batteries and produces strong, high, and buzzy vibrations that can be felt nicely throughout the length of the Rascal. The vibrations aren't earth-shattering, but they are pleasant and create a nice buildup to climax over time.  They are also fairly quiet, and won't be heard if you've got some background music on.  The bullet has an O-ring seal and is waterproof, so you can take the Rascal into the shower or tub for water play.
The Rascal is made of silicone, so it’s body safe, nonporous, hypoallergenic, and phthalates-free. It’s easy to clean: simply wash it (and the bullet) with antibacterial soap and rinse with warm water and pat dry. The Rascal without the bullet can also be run through the dishwasher on the top rack or boiled on the stove for 3 minutes. Its surface collects lint and hair like crazy, so the Rascal should be stored in a bag or box and cleaned before and after each use. Only water-based lubricants should be used.

So, Is It Worth It? Yes! I really love the way the Rascal feels. It’s filling without being too big, and the texture adds some decent stimulation.  I love that this vibrates as well! The Rascal also works in the Liberator Wing for hands-free vibrating fun, although it would work better if it were just a touch longer.
The Rascal is fun to use without the bullet as well. Its bullet hole fits over the Tantus Suction Cup securely so it can be mounted on the shower wall.  Because of its short length it doesn't flop downwards off of the suction cup.

This is quite a fun toy! You can get a Rascal O2 for yourself from EdenFantasys by clicking on the widget below.

  • Awkward Mother’s Day: A Dual Review of Form 2 by Carnivalesq
  • If you all remember, Mom helped out with a brief comment about LELO’s Liv. The reason I wanted her in on the Form 2 review is… well, there are so many reasons. One? It’s catchy. A dual review of the Form 2, which is itself a dual-motor vibrator? It’s got a nice ring to it. Also, Mother’s Day is coming up (HINT!). But the real reason? I know there are a number of readers who are older than I am, who are probably closer to my Mom’s age.
Note: If the fact that it’s a dual-review done by Carnivalesq and her mother doesn’t already want you to read it (though I don’t know why you would need more incentive than that), they also comment on some “gems from the user manual” and lots of links to amusing videos littered through the text.

Massage, Anyone?

I love massages, and don’t get them nearly enough. My husband enjoys them as well. We’ve tried a few massage candles and have enjoyed the the oil being in a candle, warming up before being rubbed into back muscles. I’m always looking for new scents and was happy to receive the Delight Massage Candle from Babeland to review.
This massage candle comes packaged in a cardboard canister. The lid lifts off about halfway down, and the package can be reused for storing the candle if desired. Product information is on the back.

I received the Mango Vanilla massage candle. When unlit it smells mostly like vanilla, with the barest hint of mango. When lit, you can smell the mango a bit more, but it’s still pretty muted. I would have liked the scents to be a bit more mixed, but it does smell nice, and the scent is not overpowering. The scent does a good job of filling the room.

The candle is 2 1/2" tall and 2 1/2" wide, and in a clear glass container with a bit of an hourglass shape to it. The candle contains 3 oz of oil, which contains soy wax, shea butter, and fragrance. The container also comes with a box of Babeland matches, so you can get to using your candle right away.
Once lit, the candle should burn for 30 to 40 minutes to melt enough oil for use. Then simply blow out the candle and pour the oil onto the skin from the holder. It’s warm, but not too hot or uncomfortable to use right away. The oil is thin, but not greasy, and you can smell the mango more at this point. The oil absorbs nicely into the skin, and leaves the skin soft, smooth, and lightly scented.

The candle burns down in the center, so if the sides haven’t melted you’ll want to gently push the softened oil down to keep the candle more level.

So, Is It Worth It? Yes! This is a relatively inexpensive massage candle, and I really liked the smell and feel of the oil. It absorbed nicely and I loved how it made my skin feel. My husband didn’t mind the scent – he found it much nicer than floral. The only thing I wish this had was some sort of pour spout on the glass. I didn’t have trouble pouring it out, but it tended to drip a bit over the side of the candle.

Thank you to Babeland for sending this massage candle to me for free to review! If you’d like to try a sensual massage with one of these candles, you can get yours at Babeland by clicking here.

Not Your Usual Suspect

Ah, JimmyJane. They’ve gone and created several toys in striking white as part of their Usual Suspects line. I have to admit, when I first heard of these, it brought to mind images of Kevin Spacey and Keyser Söze. Fortunately, the line has nothing to do with Söze (although Kevin Spacey would have been just fine). This line of iconics features 6 different toys, each the ideal representation of its category, and each backed by a one year limited warranty. I’m always on the lookout for a good rabbit, and I was fortunate to receive the Iconic Rabbit from Babeland for review.
The Iconic Rabbit, also called “Twice As Nice”, comes in a white and grey box with a fuzzy outline of the product on the front and a black back. Product information is on the sides. The back opens up to first reveal the origin of the rabbit, which was created over 25 years ago, and then opening it again finds the Iconic Rabbit resting in red, as well as three white AA batteries with the JimmyJane logo. The flap contains instructions for use, as well as cleaning, safety notes, and warranty information.
The vibrator is large. It’s 9 1/4" long with an insertable length of about 5 1/2”. It’s a lovely pearly white color all over. The Iconic Rabbit is made of Elastomer, which is a body-safe material. It’s hygienic, phthalates-free, and latex free. Both the shaft and the rabbit are soft and squishy and a bit tacky to the touch. The toy has no smell or taste.
The shaft is detailed to look like a woman, with a face on the head and a necklace below. The head is 1 1/4" long, and 1 1/2" in diameter. Below this is a slightly thinner segment, before the rabbit bulges out in its beaded area. This area is 1 3/4" in diameter.

The clitoral piece is shaped like a rabbit, with long, soft ears and a cute face. The rabbit is 3 1/4" long when straightened.
The Iconic Rabbit is powered by 3 AA batteries which are inserted into the base. The battery compartment is easy to open and the battery direction is clearly labeled.

The front of the base has 2 sliding controls which power the rabbit from off (top position) to maximum (lower position). When looking at the toy from the front, the left slider controls the shaft.
The shaft rotates as the beaded area spins in a clockwise direction. The shaft has a good, wobbly rotation to it, and goes up to a crazy fast rotation speed. If you think the shaft is too straight you can curve it by holding it just below the beaded area and gently bending the shaft, which is a pretty unique feature. Make sure you don’t bend it at the beads though, and don’t try to bend it more than a few degrees or you risk breaking the shaft and you’ll be unable to play with your Rabbit.

The clitoral attachment vibrates from a low intensity up to almost a numbing speed. The ears really vibrate! Depending on your anatomy, you can have the ears tickle your clit or bend them under so the rabbit’s face and ears both hit the spot.

When both the shaft and clitoral piece are turned on max, there is some decrease in intensity of the shaft rotation, but it is still incredibly fast. It is also incredibly noisy! When both pieces are on high it sounds a bit like my sewing machine.

While the box says that the Iconic Rabbit is ready to go right out of the box, I’d still recommend cleaning it both before and after use. It’s easy to clean: wash it with mild soap and warm water and pat dry. Be very careful not to get the battery pack wet, as this toy isn’t waterproof. Both silicone and water-based lubricants are safe to use with the Iconic Rabbit.

The Iconic Rabbit shouldn’t be stored with any vinyl products, but by itself in a box or storage bag. The packaging also has some other interesting warnings, like not to use it for more than 20 minutes at a time, and not to use it while sleeping.

So, Is It Worth It? Yes! Absolutely yes! This is probably the strongest and most powerful Rabbit vibrator I’ve ever used. The shaft rotates at a truly insane rate on high, and the clitoral piece vibrates phenomenally. I love that I can slightly angle the shaft for maximum internal stimulation. I truly wish this was waterproof (mostly because I really have a thing for waterproof toys), but it’s a great solo toy in the bedroom.

I’m not sure that this is a “Usual Suspect”, it’s a bit more unusual in that it works as expected – in fact, better than expected - for me.

Thank you to Babeland for sending this to me for free to review! If you’d like to take home your own Iconic Rabbit, you can get yours at Babeland by clicking here.

That Old Black Magic?

Ah, the bullet. One of the staples in my toy box. While I’ve yet to find a good competitor to my favorite, I love trying out new ones. The One Touch Magic Bullet from EdenFantasys looked like a good one to try.

This bullet comes in an easy-to-open clamshell case with both the bullet and the battery displayed through the front. This takes an N battery, which I don’t usually have on hand, so I was glad to see that it was provided, as well as a spare.
The Magic Bullet is fairly large, quite a bit larger than I expected. It’s 3 1/4" long, with a diameter of 1”. It is matte black in color and smooth to the touch without any drag. The tip is blunt and rounded and there are no seams to be seen or felt, except where the base screws on to the main body.  Even though it's large for a bullet, it's small enough to travel with.
This takes 1N battery, which is inserted + side down into the body of the bullet. I actually prefer N batteries to watch batteries: they have a much longer life and seem to provide more power. An O-ring helps seal the base and make the bullet waterproof, so it’s safe to take in the shower or tub.
The Magic Bullet is made of plastic, and it is phthalates-free, latex-free, nonporous and body safe. It’s easy to clean – simply wash with antibacterial soap and hot water and dry with a soft towel. You can also use a toy cleaner or wipe it down with isopropyl alcohol to clean it. All types of lubricants are safe to use.

The bullet is operated by a push button on the bottom. Unfortunately it only has one speed. It’s moderately strong with buzzy vibrations, and it’s also very loud! You’ll want some background noise to hide the fact that you’re using this one. This also isn’t a great one to use in public – everyone will likely hear you.

The bullet can be used for clitoral stimulation, and the vibrations are somewhat stronger in the tip than down its length. Since it’s hard, you can apply pressure as necessary. The bullet can also be used vaginally, although it unfortunately doesn’t have a retrieval cord. It should never be used anally – this is the perfect size to get sucked up in you ass and get lost.

So, Is It Worth It? For me, not so much. I would have enjoyed this more if it was stronger (clit o’ steel here usually). While I have other clitoral stimulators that are the strength of this one or less, it’s more the vibrating patterns that work better for me when the power is lacking. Unfortunately, this only has the one speed, and it's just not strong enough to get me off by itself.   Combining it with other toys and my partner still took me forever.  Luckily the battery life was decent - the bullet made it through 45 minutes of use without dying or lessening in power.  I did try this out in the tub, and the O-ring kept any water from getting inside the battery compartment.

If you like a steady vibration in your bullet that’s not super strong, the Magic Bullet is one to look at. It’s a great size, and firm so you can apply pressure to your clitoris as needed.  If you need more power or variation in vibrations, this one isn't the best choice.
